Two NBA title contenders will go head to head on Thursday when the Houston Rockets host the Los Angeles Clippers. It’s the fourth meeting of the season, with the Rockets currently holding the upper hand with two wins to one.

The Rockets are fourth in the Western Conference with a 39-21 record. The team won six straight before suffering a surprising loss to the Knicks on Monday 125-123. It’s only their third loss since the start of February. Houston’s big trade that saw Clint Capela join Atlanta and Robert Covington come in from Minnesota has worked out very well for the team so far, and they look set for a big finish to the regular season.

The Clippers’ lone win in the matchup came back in November when Kawhi Leonard hit the game-winner in a 122-119 victory. The Clippers went on to post their longest winning streak of the season with seven games. They are currently on a five-game winning streak and boast the second-best record in the West with 42-19.

The two teams have been neck and neck in recent years, with both winning five head-to-head games since 2017-18. The home team has gone 6-4 in these games.
